On Friday 25th September Candidates and guests gathered at the ex Jamestown First School Hall to celebrate the successful completion of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).
Twenty one NVQ Candidates were awarded City and Guilds certificates and badges for their achievements in their NVQ awards. The certificates, presented by the Centre’s Internal Verifiers, recognised their skills and knowledge at levels 2 and 3 in a number of fields:
- Business & Administration
- Customer Services
- Health & Social Care
- Landbased Operations
- Assessment
Ms Jill Robinson the NVQ & Accredited Courses Coordinator at AVES was pleased to congratulate all candidates for their hard work and suggested everyone enjoy the ‘feel good factor’ of the candidates’ achievements. She went on to thank the NVQ Assessors and Internal Verifiers for their support and guidance given to the candidates, and thanked employers and managers for their continued commitment to these work based qualifications.
Ms Lilla Oliver, CEO gave the keynote speech, which included references to the NVQ developments at Prince Andrew School, and thanks to the AVES team for their work. Chairman of the Education Committee, Mr Eric Benjamin presided as MC, and took us through the programme, and Mr John Thurlow, AVES Manager gave the closing remarks and thanked Angie Benjamin for coordinating the event.
To conclude, a celebration tea was enjoyed by all.
